Meeting Ohio's Water Quality Challenges

In the fall of 2017, a Water Quality Task Force (WQTF) was appointed by the CFAES Dean and Vice President for Agricultural Administration Dr. Cathann Kress. The WQTF spent a year soliciting feedback from faculty, staff and external stakeholders (see details here). This feedback was used to design a proposal for a Water Quality Initiative (WQI) to increase the impact and relevance of our college's work on water quality.

In January 2019, the WQTF submitted a final recommendation for the WQI to Dean Kress. We are actively working to implement these recommendations. The WQI will provide support, coordination, and leadership for the water quality-related research, teaching and extension/outreach activities of our college’s faculty and staff.
